Thermodynamical Calculation of the Pressure and Surface Tension in
Thin Liquid Films
Via 3-d Monte-Carlo Simulations we determine thermodynamic quantities
such as the transverse pressure and surface tension in a lattice gas
system under liquid-gas phase equilibrium conditions.
More specifically
we treat composite systems of thin liquid membranes in equilibrium
with their own gas. The stability of the membranes is enhanced by the
presence of surfactant chains.
