Studies on Reaction-Diffusion Processes and Anomalous Kinetics
We investigate the behaviour of multimolecular reactions taking place
on low dimensional and fractal substrates. In particular for trimolecular
reactions (Schlogl model) we investigate the effects of spatial
restriction on the steady state. We show that in d<2 the chemical
system stabilises at a state far from equilibrium even without the
presence of external sources.
Similarly for the Lattice Lotka-Volterra Model (LLV)
and for the Lattice
Limit-Cycle (LLC) model spatial restriction on 2-dimensional and fractal
substrates changes the kinetics and leads to clustering phenomena
and fractaly growing domains. Similar phenomena in chaotic dynamical
systems are under investigation.
